So we all are eagerly waiting for the launch of the new iPhone . The Apple’s new phone is expected to be released on October 13, 2020. We are expecting the 2020 iPhones to be called the iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro providing if Apple decides to follow the same naming scheme it used for the 2019 iPhone lineup. We are expecting major updates in the new iPhone that will be released in 2020.

Rumors suggest the iPhone 12 will feature 6.7 inch display and the other will feature 6.1 inch display. These models will feature higher-end devices with triple-lens cameras, on the other hand the 5.4 and 6.1-inch models will be lower-end iPhones with dual-lens cameras and a more affordable price tag.

All the 2020 iPhones are expected to feature OLED display technology regardless of prize. There have been rumors that 120Hz displays could be included with in the high – end iPhone models.

The 5.4 inch inch iPhone will be the smallest iPhone Apple has ever released since the 4.7 inch iPhone SE. The 6.7 inch iPhone will be the largest Apple’s iPhone till date.

The iPhone will also feature a TrueDepth camera system that cuts down on the size of the notch on the front. There also are rumors of a 3D triple-lens rear camera system that uses a laser to calculate depth information for objects within the room, improving both photography and AR capabilities. This is often likely to be almost like the LiDAR Scanner within the 2020 iPad Pro, and it appears it’ll be limited to the higher-end 6.7-inch iPhone model.

This is the first year in which Apple’s iPhone is going to introduce 5G support, allowing the new devices to connect to 5G network. According to rumors all the iPhones in the iPhone 12 lineup will have 5G connectivity, though it is not specific that all the iPhone 12 models will have super fast mmWave support. Reports also suggest that mmWave speeds could be limited to the Pro models in certain countries.

The iPhone 12 models will use an Apple-designed 5-nanometer A14 chip manufactured by TSMC. The A14 chip is predicted to bring both speed and efficiency improvements that would bring small gains in battery life to catch up on 5G, which uses additional battery.

Apple has already hosted a digital event on Tuesday, September 15, but did not announce the release of the iPhone 12 at the event, instead Apple focused on iPad Air and Apple watch series in that event.

The iPhone 12 lineup is likely to be unveiled at the second event in 2020, which the recent rumors have suggested will be held on Tuesday, October 13.

Apple often holds two events in the fall , in which the first is focused on new iPhones and Apple Watches and the second focused on other hardware like Macs and iPads. It seems like this year Apple decided to swap the iPhone from the first event to the second event to account for the delay in the manufacturing of the iPhone.
